Blood vessels below the diaphragm

Blood vessels above the diaphragm

Transport: circulatory system

The work with circulatory systems on the cat was recent. It was very tedious work as many of the veins had been cut because of previous dissections. Although the veins and arteries were difficult to unearth, once they were, it was interesting to see how the blood flowed through the cat, and to see the major circulatory components.

Heart (4 squares)

Reflection:
The day we dissected the heart was very interesting. It was arguably the most interesting day we've had with the entire cat dissection. The heart had a very tough consistency while the fibers inside kept coming out easily. However, this allowed me to see the actual shape of the chambers much more effectively.
